Headline Speaker

Emma Carvell

Clinical Programme Manager (SAFE)

Emma is a Speech and Language Therapist and has worked within this field for 17 years the majority of which employed by Wirral Community NHS Health and Care Foundation Trust. Over the past 12 months Emma has taken on a more strategic trust wide role focussing on quality and governance and is also about to complete my Masters in Business and Management for Senior Leaders.

In Speech and language Emma worked with people hosting a variety of needs, including adults with learning disabilities and children and young people who stammer. As a team leader she had operational responsibility for the pre-school clinic service and mainstream school services.

Emma's current role has allowed her to lead on implementation of a trust wide governance framework. This has provided me with invaluable experience in the fields of quality and governance and established relationships with colleagues across all divisions. This also includes supporting all teams to gather and present evidence against standards set by CQC and ensured these are embedded into practice, so the trust can achieve their vision to not only improve for CQC but also in the longer term.
